TURSAB’s Research and Development Department monitors the developments in international and Turkish tourism, as well as in tourism and travel related areas. The Department continuously gathers information and data from various international and national sources, evaluates, and prepares reports on the developments and future prospects. Apart from the reports on specific subjects and issues, it also prepares monthly reports concerning statistical data obtained from the Ministry of Tourism, the State Statistical Institute and other sources.

These monthly reports comprise analysis and evaluation of statistical data concerning international arrivals in Turkey and the tourism revenue in particular. Overview of change and developments in tourism and in the travel trade, trends and future prospects form the main topics of other reports.

The Department’s area of interest also comprises accumulation of information concerning natural, historical, cultural values, tourist resources and attractions as they constitute the basis of tourism and product development.

Depending on the programme, TURSAB carries out and conducts surveys from time to time.

TURSAB’s library within the Research and Development Department is open for use of it’s members. Information is avaliable to TURSAB’s members and to those who take interest, on request.
