INFORMATION OFFICER EXAM
The Tourism Information Officer Exam, which includes a tourism knowledge exam, a written foreign language exam, and an oral foreign language exam, will be administered by TÜRSAB (Association of Turkish Travel Agencies) on the dates and under the conditions specified below, pursuant to Article 46 and subsequent articles of the Travel Agencies Regulation.
The exam fee is 3.000 TL and can be paid by credit card through the exam application screen.
The exam is free of charge for TÜRSAB member travel agency owners (official company partners).
For agency employees (insured under Social Security Institution), the exam fee is discounted by 50%, totaling 1.500 TL.
Due to the earthquake disaster to 11 provinces (Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa) centered in Kahramanmaraş, no exam fee will be charged to travel agency owners (official company partners) and employees (insured under Social Security) whose headquarters are located in the affected region. Candidates in this category are required to upload their TÜRSAB Certificates for their agency in the document upload section.
Application Dates: November 1, 2024 – November 30, 2024 (until 23:59)

The Tourism Information Officer Exam will be conducted online according to the following schedule:
- Tourism Knowledge Exam Date and Time (Online): December 7, 2024 (10:30-11:30)
- Written Foreign Language Exam Date (Online): December 14, 2024 (10:30-11:30)
- Oral Foreign Language Exam Date (Online): December 21-22, 2024
The Tourism Information Exam, conducted in Turkish, covers General Tourism Knowledge, Tourism Geography, Tourism Economics, and Marketing, consisting of 50 questions. The exam duration is 60 minutes. Those scoring 70 or above will be eligible to work as Information Officers at "C" group travel agencies. Candidates who pass both the Tourism Knowledge and Foreign Language (written and oral) exams can work as Information Officers in "A", "B", and "C" group travel agencies.
The Foreign Language Written and Oral Exams are offered in English, Arabic, German, Russian, Ukrainian, Spanish, French, Chinese, and Bulgarian. Candidates will take the foreign language exam in the language they select when filling out the online application form. The written foreign language exam is evaluated out of 50 points, and the oral exam is also out of 50 points.
Only individuals who have reached the age of 18 on the day of the exam can participate.
Documents Required for Online Application:
- A color passport-size photograph taken within the last 6 months
- Identity card or driver’s license
- If an agency owner/partner (official company partner), the latest Trade Registry Gazette showing ownership information
- If an agency employee (insured under Social Security), a current, QR-coded Social Security Registration and Service Statement from the e-Government portal
- Candidates who have previously received a Tourism Information Officer Certificate and wish to take only the Foreign Language Exam must also upload their Tourism Information Officer Certificate in Turkish.
A minimum score of 70 is required in the Tourism Knowledge Exam to be eligible for the Foreign Language Written Exam on December 14, 2024. Candidates who have previously received a Tourism Information Officer Certificate and only wish to take the Foreign Language Exam are exempt from the Tourism Knowledge Exam but must attend the Foreign Language Written and Oral Exams.
To qualify for the oral foreign language exam scheduled on December 21-22, 2024, candidates must score at least 20 points out of 50 in the written foreign language exam.
Foreign nationals must provide proof of work or residence permit to participate. They must have a temporary Turkish ID number.
No refunds will be provided except in cases of force majeure.
ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS
Candidates with all required documents should create a user account by clicking "Register" on https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/ and apply through the TÜRSAB Academy Online Exam System by November 30, 2024, at 23:59.
Candidates with existing accounts should log in using their credentials and apply through the TÜRSAB Academy Online Exam System. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/. Candidates who forget their username/password may use the "Forgot Password" option to reset.
Upon accessing the Online Exam System, candidates should select "New Application & My Existing Applications," fill out the application form, and upload the necessary documents (documents should be pre-prepared in JPG format for convenience).
Completed applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified of their application status via email. Applications will be verified by TÜRSAB Academy, and errors will result in rejection, while correct applications will receive preliminary approval, with a payment link sent via email. This information can also be viewed on the TÜRSAB Academy website. Candidates will complete the application by paying the exam fee by credit card.
Candidates should retain their login information, as they will use their TÜRSAB Academy Online credentials to enter the online exam on December 7, 2024, at 10:30 AM. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/.
Participants who score 70 or above in the Tourism Knowledge Exam on December 7, 2024, will qualify for the Online Written Foreign Language Exam on December 14, 2024. Candidates who achieve an average score of 70 or above in the foreign language written and oral exams on December 14 and December 21-22, 2024 (scored 50 points each) will receive a "Foreign Language Information Officer Certificate."
TÜRSAB Academy will contact successful candidates for the foreign language written and oral exams, sharing the exam links. Participants can access their certificates, once available, online with digital and QR codes (physical certificates are not issued).

Participants can check their exam results and download certificates online by logging in with their TÜRSAB Academy username and password. Academy Website: https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/signin/
As the Tourism Knowledge Exam will be held simultaneously online, no excuses will be accepted unless supported by documentation. Documentation of force majeure must be submitted via email to TÜRSAB Academy within 2 business days (akademi@tursab.org.tr). Candidates unable to attend the Foreign Language Written/Oral Exams, even if they indicate force majeure, will not receive refunds.
Appeals must be submitted via email to TÜRSAB Academy within 10 business days of the exam.
