ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE AMENDMENT TO THE LAW REGARDING THE FEE OBLIGATION OF TRAVEL AGENCIES OPERATING IN DISASTER AREAS

Dear Members,

We have requested from Presidential Office with our letters dated 21.02.2023 and 18.10.2023 to make the necessary arrangements for the travel agencies operating in the disaster area to be exempted from the annual dues payments for 2023 and 2024, and in line with our requests, the Law No. 7491 on the Amendment of Certain Laws and Decree Laws was published in the Official Gazette No. 32413 dated 28.12.2023.

With the following regulation in Article 28 of the Law, we inform you that travel agencies located in the provinces specified in the article are not obliged to pay dues for the years 2023 and 2024.

ARTICLE 28-The following provisional article has been added to the Law on Travel Agencies and Association of Travel Agencies dated 14/9/1972 and numbered 1618.

"PROVISIONAL ARTICLE 7- Travel agencies operating in the provinces of Adana, Adıyaman, Batman, Bingöl, Diyarbakır, Elazığ, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Kayseri, Kilis, Malatya, Mardin, Niğde, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa and Tunceli, which were affected by the earthquake disaster that occurred on 6/2/2023 and which are accepted as Disaster Regions with a General Impact on Life, shall not be charged the annual fee regulated in Article 35 for the years 2023 and 2024."
