AGENCY TITLE CHANGE
PROCESS OF PROCEDURE
To change the name of a travel agency that has previously been registered by the Ministry, the agency must first apply to the Ministry with the information and documents obtained through the website https://yigm.ktb.gov.tr/.
If the Ministry approves the change of the travel agency name, it notifies the applicant and TÜRSAB in writing. Within 30 days of receiving the Ministry's letter regarding the change of name, the applicant applies to TÜRSAB with the following documents.
After receiving the application, TÜRSAB examines and evaluates the documents provided. The file regarding the name change application is forwarded to the Ministry by TÜRSAB.
The Ministry examines the file regarding the change of name application. If any deficiencies are found during the Ministry's examination and evaluation, TÜRSAB is informed and required to complete the deficiencies. If the request is approved, a Makam Onayı (Official Approval) is prepared for document issuance. After the Makam Onayı, the travel agency business license is issued according to the new agency name. The issued travel agency business license is sent to the relevant Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism to be delivered to the applicant, and the situation is reported to TÜRSAB. The newly issued license is delivered by the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism.

• If a guarantee letter is to be provided, the definitive and indefinite guarantee letter must include the agency name and trade name.
• Guarantees other than guarantee letters are deposited to the account number "TR89 0000 1001 0000 0350 1540 21 IBAN" of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Central Accounting Directorate, or the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Central Accounting Directorate via the accounting units of the general budgeted departments of provinces or districts. (The original receipt must be stamped and signed, and the commercial name (under no circumstances a personal name) must be included in the sender section of the receipt, and the agency name obtained from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism must be written in the description section.)
• For group A: 7,000.00 TL (Seven Thousand Turkish Liras)
• For group B: 6,000.00 TL (Six Thousand Turkish Liras)
• For group C: 5,000.00 TL (Five Thousand Turkish Liras) and for each branch, the amount should be 25% of these amounts.

- What are the criteria for approval of the agency title by the Ministry?
The Ministry approves the requested agency title according to its predetermined criteria. Approval is not given for titles that may cause confusion or titles that have previously been rejected or marked. The suitability of the requested agency title is at the discretion of the Ministry.
- Can the company title be the same as the agency title?
It depends on whether the agency title is suitable according to the Ministry.
- Do "brand" documents affect the outcome of the agency title application?
The Ministry has full discretion over the agency title.
- What is the application deadline for TÜRSAB after the Ministry approves the requested agency title?
The application must be made within 30 (thirty) days following the notification of the suitability letter along with the aforementioned documents.
