Born in İzmir in 1961, F. İlker Ünsever completed his primary and secondary education in İzmir Karşıyaka. Having graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Law in 1985, he began his legal career in 1986 as a member of the İzmir Bar Association. Continuing his practice as a member of the İstanbul Bar Association from 1996 onwards, Ünsever contributed to the development of tourism legislation during his tenure as Legal Counsel at TÜRSAB between 1994 and 1999. The author of books on Tourism Law and articles published in various journals, F. İlker Ünsever has been a part-time faculty member at Boğaziçi University's Department of Tourism Management since 1999, where he teaches Tourism Law and, within the BUYEM (Boğaziçi University Lifelong Learning Center) programs, courses on Law as a Human Resources Instrument, Event Law, and Law for the Effective Manager. Ünsever is also a member of the Cittaslow Türkiye Scientific Board, the Tourism Council, the İstanbul Tourism Platform, and Karşıyaka Sports Club.
Having begun working with the 23rd TÜRSAB Board of Directors as Chief Legal Advisor to the Board, Ünsever coordinates TÜRSAB's Legal Unit and serves as the head of the Unit's operations.
Operating under the TÜRSAB President of the Board, the Legal Counsel Unit is responsible for providing legal support requested by the Board of Directors, the Disciplinary Board, and the Auditing Board; evaluating decisions within the legal framework; informing and guiding members on all relevant legislation; and initiating, conducting, concluding, and ensuring the legislative compliance of all legal processes within the scope of TÜRSAB's duties and authority.

CONSUMER COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT
Operating under the Legal Counsel Unit, the Consumer Complaints Department manages complaint processes received from consumers regarding travel agencies, and finalizes these by carrying out the necessary assessments through the Association's TOAR Specialization Presidency.
