50TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY MESSAGE

WE'VE MADE A GREAT PROGRESS TOGETHER… Our Association which is established half a century ago, in 1972, is accepted as the referenced institution of the tourism industry today. It is seen as the lifeline to the economy, especially to the travel industry. Even though we experienced rough and storm-filled paths in our 50 years long history, we kept fighting shoulder to shoulder without giving up. In the last two years, we have received serious wounds due to the effect of the Global Pandemic. Despite everything, we became one; we tried to make our voices heard, we got up and set off again with the strength of the love of country and tourism. We are plowing on the years when tourism, which embraces more than fifty sectors with a wide spectrum in the business world, will shine brightly. The second season of our 50-year success story begins. It will be much more colorful, moving and comprising. I believe that we will take our industry to the new levels as the actors of this story within the direction of the new success, developments and consolidation. The profession of Travel Agency, which has occurred since the foundation of our Republic, has found its way to the world, where its owners have become a sustainable and valuable occupation in 50 years. But we still have a long way to go and many more stories to write. With the inspiration of our past, our roots and our history; we continue on our way, effecting by the charm of creation, unifying and hosting different cultures. As a sign of the half century we have experienced together with this perspective; I am proud to share our 50th Anniversary Logo with you, and I sincerely congratulate each of our members. Despite all kinds of difficulties, we will continue to add value to our profession and industry together.
