ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE COLLECTION OF DEMAND FOR THE TOURISTIC EASTERN EXPRESS FOR THE 2026–2027 SEASON FOR TRAVEL AGENCIES
Dear Members,
According to the official letter submitted to our Association by the Republic of Türkiye State Railways (TCDD), the preliminary demand collection process has been initiated for the Touristic Eastern Express, which will commence its services in the 2026–2027 season.
The rules to be followed by travel agencies wishing to organize tours during this season, as well as the details regarding wagon allocation conditions, are provided in the attached document.

Departure Dates and Days:
Ankara → Kars Direction:
Between December 21, 2026 and March 10, 2027, departures will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 13:55.
Kars → Ankara Direction:
Between December 23, 2026 and March 12, 2027, departures will take place on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 21:05.
A total of 35 trips will be operated in each direction, amounting to 70 trips throughout the season.
Touristic Stopovers:
Ankara → Kars Direction:
Sightseeing breaks will be provided at Erzincan and Erzurum stations.
Kars → Ankara Direction:
Sightseeing breaks will be provided at İliç, Divriği, and Sivas stations.
Train Features:
Sleeping Car: Each wagon consists of 10 compartments, with 2 beds in each compartment. Total capacity per wagon is 20 passengers.
Dining Car: 1 unit.

Application Schedule:
Application requirements are specified in the technical specifications. Travel agencies that accept these conditions are required to prepare the following documents, duly signed and stamped, and send them via email to turistik@tcddtasimacilik.gov.tr:
- Wagon Allocation Application Form
- Signed Specifications (together with the documents stated in Article 3.1)
- Signature Circular
Applications will be accepted as of the announcement date and will continue until July 13, 2026 (inclusive). Allocation results will be communicated to applicants via email no later than July 17, 2026.
Following the announcement of the preliminary allocation results, a prepayment of 20% of the total wagon allocation fee must be made by August 3, 2026. Preliminary allocations of travel agencies that fail to make the payment within the specified period will be cancelled.
