ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE VISITING HOURS OF THE BASILICA CISTERN

Dear Members,

In the letter sent to our Union by 1048 Vakıf Enerji A.Ş.;

With the transition to the winter season, it has been announced that the visiting hours of the Basilica Cistern will be rearranged due to the decrease in daylight hours and the early onset of darkness.

Considering the visiting hours implemented at the Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and Topkapi Palace, the visiting hours of the Basilica Cistern have been rearranged to improve the visitor experience and to conduct operational activities in accordance with seasonal conditions.

New Visiting Hours
· Summer Season (April 1 – October 31): 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
· Winter Season (November 1 – March 31): 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Visiting hours are valid seven days a week.

Application Date:
Although it is anticipated that the winter visitation hours will be implemented as of November 1 under normal circumstances, the new visitation hours will start to be implemented on November 15, 2026.

It is important for our travel agencies to plan their visit and tour programs by considering the specified times.
