TÜRSAB-CILT COLLABORATION SIGNS PROTOCOL FOR THE EMPLOYMENT OF FEMALE TOURISM DRIVERS
The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) and the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Türkiye signed a protocol to increase female employment in the tourism and logistics sectors, launching the "5,000 Female Driver Employment Campaign in 5 Years."
This project, launched with a signing ceremony at the TÜRSAB stand at the Istanbul Tourism Fair, will support women with a comprehensive training program ranging from safe driving and customer relations to personal development and digital literacy. They will be employed by TÜRSAB-member travel agencies.
Speaking at the project signing ceremony, TÜRSAB Vice President Hasan Eker stated that TÜRSAB places great importance on tourism employment. He said, "The tourism sector is a field where women work extensively, but almost all of the drivers providing tour and transfer services are men. Including female drivers in this field will not only greatly benefit the sector but also open up a new avenue for women seeking to work in this field."
We hope this project will be beneficial for our tourism sector.
