TÜRSAB CONVEYED TRAVEL AGENCIES' OPINIONS AT THE USHAŞ JOINT INTELLIGENCE WORKSHOP
The USHAŞ Joint Intelligence Workshop was organized by USHAŞ in Ankara on October 21, 2026, with the aim of shaping Turkey's global health vision and creating a joint roadmap.
Representing our Union at the workshop, our TÜRSAB Vice President Davut Günaydın, our Health Tourism Expert Committee President Şehnaz Atak Askeroğlu, and our Health Tourism Expert Committee Vice President Gurbet Altay participated.
Within the scope of the workshop, topics such as regulations and sectoral structuring in international health services, international patient travel, service quality, trust and sustainability, and Turkey's health capacity were discussed.
The issues faced by our travel agencies operating in the field of health tourism, our evaluations of the current practices, and our proposed solutions were shared with the relevant public institutions and industry stakeholders.
An inter-institutional agreement was reached to pause the implementation of the recent performance criteria system entry until the portal integrations are completed.
We will continue our efforts and inter-institutional dialog to strengthen the role of our travel agencies in the sector, eliminate the uncertainties experienced in practice, and develop a sustainable health tourism structure.
