TÜRSAB CULTURE TOURISM SPECIALIZATION PRESIDENCY MEETING HELD

The TÜRSAB Culture Tourism Specialization Presidency's monthly meeting was held as a hybrid meeting on November 4, 2025, with the participation of İlham Seyyale, President of Culture Tourism Specialization, and members of the Specialization.

The meeting agenda included recent decisions made in the field of culture and tourism in the TRNC, the implementation of group ticketing at museums, and feedback from travel agencies. The work situation following the flood and landslide disasters in the Eastern Black Sea Region was also evaluated. Excavation and restoration work in Şanlıurfa (Karahantepe and Göbeklitepe), Burdur (Sagalassos and Kibyra), and Trabzon (Sumela Monastery and Hagia Sophia Church-Mosque) was also discussed.

The meeting, which focused on the excavation of the Sunken Basilica on the shores of Lake Iznik in Bursa and preparations for the planned visit of Pope Leo XIV, President of the Vatican and Spiritual Leader of the Catholic Church, also included information on the "Climate Change Adaptation Action" Conference held in Mardin, the latest decisions regarding the Night Museum program, and the TÜRSAB 26th Term General Assembly.
