TÜRSAB PRINTED ID CARD INFORMATION ABOUT
THE DEFINITION, APPLICATION, AND ISSUANCE PROCESS
1. WHAT IS A TÜRSAB PRINTED ID CARD?
It is a document issued by TÜRSAB based on its records, which indicates the relationship of individuals with the Travel Agency in the operations of Travel Agencies.
2. WHERE IS THE TÜRSAB ID CARD USED?
- It is used in the travel agency's tours, transfers, or operations, as a document indicating the nature of the person's relationship with the travel agency on behalf of the travel agency.
- It is used when requested by authorities supervising travel agency activities or inquiring about the person's relationship with the travel agency.

- Printed ID Cards
- Temporary and Permanent ID Cards
4. HOW AND WHERE IS THE APPLICATION FOR A TÜRSAB PRINTED ID CARD MADE?
Travel Agencies can apply for Printed Identity Cards via TÜRSAB ONLINE,
- Identity Card Application Form
- Passport photo of the person to whom the card will be issued (1 copy)
- Criminal Record (Official Type)
- A document showing the relationship between the Travel Agency and the person applying for the card;
- A photocopy of the signature circular showing the authority of the persons authorized to represent the Agency Owner company,
- If the Agency Owner company is a joint-stock company, a photocopy of the Trade Registry Gazette showing the membership of the person applying for the ID card on the Board of Directors,
- For natural persons who are shareholders of the legal entity that is the Travel Agency Owner: a photocopy of the Trade Registry Gazette showing the latest share structure if the company type is a limited company, or a photocopy of the Trade Registry Gazette showing the latest share structure or a notarized certified copy of the company's share register if the company type is a joint-stock company.
- SGK Service List for the most recent period showing that the personnel who will work in Travel Agency activities are employed by the company, or if the employment is new and therefore not included in the most recent service list, the SSI employment notification.
If there is any missing or inconsistent information in the Travel Agency Identity Card Application or in the documents uploaded to the system, the Regional Representative Board will notify the applicant Travel Agency and request that the missing or inconsistent information be corrected within three (3) days. If the deficiencies are not completed or the inconsistencies are not resolved within the given period, the application is systematically canceled.
5. HOW MUCH IS THE CARD FEE, AND WHERE IS IT PAID?
Except for cards issued to “Agency Owners,” the card fee for applications is set at 500.00 TL for 2026, as decided by the Board of Directors. This fee is collected by the Travel Agency via TÜRSAB Online during the Identity Card Application process for each identity card applied for.
Note: Travel Agencies operating in the provinces of Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya, which have been affected by the recent earthquake and are considered disaster areas affecting general life, will be exempt from the aforementioned Identity Card payments.
6. WHAT ARE THE TITLES IN THE “POSITION” SECTION OF THE CARD AND THE CRITERIA FOR THEIR ASSIGNMENT?
In accordance with the decision of the TÜRSAB Board of Directors, the titles defined in the position section of the Identity Cards are limited to the following. The cards cannot be issued with any external title other than the assigned titles.
- “Agency Owner” means being the representative and binding authority of the Travel Agency defined in the TÜRSAB Agency Registry Records,
- “Company Board Member” means being defined in the TÜRSAB Agency Registry Records,
- The title “Company Shareholder” requires, for the real persons who are shareholders of the legal entity that is the Agency Owner, a photocopy of the Trade Registry Gazette showing the latest share structure if the company type is a limited company, or a photocopy of the Trade Registry Gazette showing the latest share structure or a notarized certified copy of the company share register if the company type is a joint-stock company.
This is required.
In addition to these titles, if the application is complete, for Travel Agency employees;
- General Manager,
- Transfer Manager, (must be at least 18 years old)
- Operations,
- Driver Reception, (must be at least 18 years old)
- Contract Manager
can be issued with the TÜRSAB ID Card.
7. HOW ARE THE ID CARDS FOR WHICH APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE DELIVERED?
The printed ID cards issued are delivered by the Regional Representative Councils to which the Travel Agencies are affiliated, based on the presentation of the application form uploaded to the TÜRSAB Online system during the application.
Therefore, for each identity card issued, the original application form available on the system must be presented at the time of delivery of the card. If the identity card form is not delivered by the Travel Agency applying for it, the identity card issued cannot be delivered.
8. HOW LONG IS THE CARD VALID FOR?
The validity period of the card issued to Travel Agency representatives (Agency Owner) covers the year it was issued plus the following two years, while identity cards issued to other persons are only valid until the end of the current year. The calendar year is used for the year calculation.
9. WHAT HAPPENS TO CARDS THAT HAVE EXPIRED?
The cardholder Travel Agency must submit expired Printed Identity Cards to the Regional Representative Board to which they are affiliated.
10. HOW CAN THE STATUS, VALIDITY, AND AUTHENTICITY OF A PRINTED IDENTITY CARD BE DETERMINED?
During inspections, when using the card, inspectors check the status of the card. In addition, TÜRSAB generates a unique QR code for each card to verify its validity and authenticity.
Furthermore, the ID card colors determined for each year and the hologram on the card are printed features designed to visually verify the card's validity.
11. WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES REGARDING THE USE OF THE ID CARD?
Travel Agencies and individuals issued with Identity Cards are obliged to exercise the necessary care to enhance the reliability of the card and protect the reputation of TÜRSAB and the travel agency profession, and to refrain from engaging in activities that violate the law. In case of non-compliance, TÜRSAB reserves the right to impose administrative and criminal sanctions.
12. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY ID CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN?
TÜRSAB Identity Cards are issued with a QR code for verification and control purposes. To prevent the unauthorized use of a stolen or lost identity card, the Travel Agency must report the matter to the Regional Representative Council to which it is affiliated.
13. I HAVE A DUE DEBT. CAN I APPLY FOR A CARD?
According to the decision taken by the TÜRSAB Board of Directors, identity cards cannot be issued to Travel Agencies that have not fulfilled their debt obligations to the Association, except for cards with “Agency Owner” status, except for the current year.
14. DOES TÜRSAB VERIFY THE CONDITIONS IN THE DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED WITH THE ID CARD APPLICATION?
The responsibility for ensuring that the conditions in the documents submitted to the Association by Travel Agencies are met lies with the applicant travel agency. However, TÜRSAB has the right to request information and documents from the applicant travel agency regarding whether the conditions valid on the day of application are being met for identity cards that have been issued and are active.
15. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE TÜRSAB IDENTITY CARD ARE NOT MET OR IF IT IS USED INAPPROPRIATELY?
Supporting the development of the travel agency sector, developing national tourism, and protecting the interests of travel agencies are among TÜRSAB's responsibilities under the law.
Therefore, in the event of improper use of the TÜRSAB ID Card, TÜRSAB holds the Travel Agency that applied for the ID card and the person to whom the card was issued jointly and severally liable. It applies criminal and administrative sanctions to parties that fail to fulfill this responsibility.
In this regard, TÜRSAB:
- Not issuing an Identity Card to the Travel Agency to which the Identity Card was issued until the relevant authority decides otherwise,
- Prohibiting the persons to whom the Identity Card was issued from applying for an identity card for a limited or unlimited period,
- Requesting a penalty clause of 10,000.00 TL for 2026 in accordance with the agreement formed with the identity card application.
