TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT TÜRSAB ID CARD
INFORMATION REGARDING THE DEFINITION, APPLICATION, AND ISSUANCE PROCESS
1. WHAT IS THE TÜRSAB TEMPORARY AND PERIODIC ID CARD?
It is a document issued by TÜRSAB, valid for seven (7) days, based on a contract and official documents between the Travel Agency and intermediary institutions that provide operational support in Travel Agency activities but do not have a direct employment contract with the Travel Agency, and that act as intermediaries in the supply of human resources.
Warning: Temporary and Fixed-Term Identity Cards cannot be issued to persons officially employed by Travel Agencies.
2. WHERE IS THE TÜRSAB IDENTITY CARD USED?
- It is used in the tours, transfers, or operations of the Travel Agency; as a document showing the nature of the person's relationship with the Travel Agency on behalf of the Travel Agency,
- It is used when requested by authorities supervising Travel Agency activities or questioning the relationship between the Travel Agency and the person.
3. WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF TÜRSAB ID CARDS?
- Printed ID Cards
- Temporary and Permanent ID Cards
4. HOW AND WHERE IS THE APPLICATION FOR A TÜRSAB TEMPORARY AND LIMITED-TERM ID CARD MADE?
- Travel Agencies submit applications for Temporary and Fixed-Term Identity Cards via TÜRSAB Online,
- Temporary and Fixed-Term Identity Card Application Form,
- Passport-sized photo of the person to whom the card will be issued,
- The Travel Agency and the person applying for the card must show their relationship; it is sufficient to define the contract between the Travel Agency and the person applying for the Identity Card with the intermediary institutions and organizations in the system.
5. WHAT MUST BE INCLUDED IN THE CONTRACT SHOWING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TRAVEL AGENCY AND THE PERSON APPLYING FOR THE CARD?
- The contract to be made with intermediary institutions and organizations in the supply of human resources, specifically for travel agencies and their operations, must include:
- That it has been made between the legal entity that is the owner of the Travel Agency and the legal entities that are intermediary institutions and organizations in the supply of human resources,
- That the identity information of the person applying for a Temporary and Fixed-Term Identity Card is written in the contract content,
- That the contract period is consistent with the validity period of the requested card,
These points are examined.
If there are any deficiencies or inconsistencies in the information and documents submitted by the Travel Agency in the Identity Card Applications, the Regional Representative Board informs the applicant Travel Agency and requests that the deficiencies or inconsistencies be resolved within three (3) days. If the deficiencies are not completed or the inconsistencies are not resolved within the given period, the application is systematically canceled.
6. HOW MUCH IS THE FEE FOR A TEMPORARY AND PERIODIC IDENTITY CARD AND WHERE IS IT PAID?
The fee for the Temporary and Limited-Term Identity Card has been set at 500.00 TL for 2026, as decided by the Board of Directors. This fee is collected by the Travel Agency via TÜRSAB Online during the Identity Card Application process.
Note: Travel Agencies operating in the provinces of Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, and Malatya, which have been affected by the earthquake disaster and are considered disaster areas affecting general life, will be exempt from the aforementioned Identity Card payments.
7. HOW ARE THE IDENTITY CARDS FOR WHICH APPLICATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE DELIVERED?
There will be no physical delivery of Temporary and Temporary Identity Cards. After the Association's approval, the Identity Card System will create a card that is suitable for use by the Travel Agency and verifiable.
Note: The Temporary and Fixed-Term Identity Card application form uploaded to the system during the application must be submitted by the applicant Travel Agency to the Regional Representative Council within ten (10) days after the application is approved!
8. WHAT IS THE VALIDITY PERIOD OF THE TEMPORARY AND FIXED-TERM IDENTITY CARD?
The Temporary and Limited-Term Identity Card will be valid for seven (7) days from the date it is created after the Association's approval.
9. WHAT HAPPENS TO EXPIRED TEMPORARY AND LIMITED-TERM IDENTITY CARDS?
The card will cease to be valid at the end of the specified usage period. Therefore, the responsibility for the physical destruction of expired Identity Cards lies with the Travel Agency.
10. HOW IS THE STATUS, VALIDITY, AND AUTHENTICITY OF THE TEMPORARY AND PERIODIC IDENTITY CARD DETERMINED?
During inspections related to card usage, inspectors check the status of the Identity Card. Additionally, TÜRSAB generates a unique QR code for each card to verify its validity and authenticity.
11. WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES REGARDING THE USE OF THE IDENTITY CARD?
Travel Agencies and individuals issued with Identity Cards are obliged to exercise the necessary diligence to enhance the reliability of the card and protect the reputation of TÜRSAB and the travel agency profession, and to refrain from engaging in activities that violate the law. In case of non-compliance, TÜRSAB reserves the right to impose administrative and criminal sanctions.
Furthermore, the card must be visible on the person to whom it was issued during the operations of Travel Agencies.
12. WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY IDENTITY CARD IS LOST OR STOLEN?
TÜRSAB Identity Cards are issued with a QR code for verification and control purposes. To prevent the unauthorized use of a stolen or lost identity card, a Lost/Stolen Card application must be submitted in the Identity Card chapter of the TÜRSAB Online system.
13. I HAVE A DUES DEBT. CAN I APPLY FOR A CARD?
According to the decision taken by the TÜRSAB Board of Directors, ID cards cannot be issued to Travel Agencies that have not fulfilled their debt obligations to the Association, except for cards with “Agency Owner” status, except for the current year.
14. WHAT HAPPENS IF THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE TÜRSAB ID CARD ARE NOT MET OR IF IT IS USED INAPPROPRIATELY?
Supporting the development of the Travel Agency sector, promoting national tourism, and protecting the interests of Travel Agencies are among TÜRSAB's responsibilities under the law.
Therefore, in the event of improper use of the TÜRSAB ID Card, TÜRSAB holds the Travel Agency that applied for the ID Card and the person to whom the card was issued jointly and severally liable.
It imposes criminal and administrative sanctions on parties that fail to fulfill this responsibility.
In this regard, TÜRSAB:
- Not issuing an Identity Card to the Travel Agency to which the Identity Card was issued until the relevant authority decides otherwise,
- Prohibiting the persons to whom the Identity Card was issued from applying for an identity card for a limited or unlimited period,
- Requesting a penalty clause of 10,000.00 TL for 2026 in accordance with the agreement formed with the identity card application.
