TÜRSAB MET WITH THE JORDANIAN TOURISM DELEGATION AT THE JORDAN TOURISM WORKSHOP

The Jordan Tourism Workshop, organized by the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) and Royal Jordanian Airlines under the patronage of Hazem Al Khatib, Ambassador of Jordan to Ankara, was held in Istanbul on October 22, 2026.

Representing our Union at the event, our TÜRSAB Board of Directors Vice Chairman Davut Günaydın and our TÜRSAB Principal Consultant Ertan Demirbaş participated.

As part of the event, meetings were held with Jordan's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Dr. Emad Naim Hijazeen, the Ambassador of Jordan to Ankara, Hazem Al Khatib, the President of JITOA, Nabih S. Riyal, and the Board Member of the Jordan Tourism Board, Hani Al Dabbas.

In the meetings, the topics of enhancing mutual tourism mobility between Turkey and Jordan and strengthening tourism collaborations between the two countries were discussed. It was noted that approximately 65,000 visitors travel from Turkey to Jordan annually, and steps that could be taken to increase this number were evaluated.

As TÜRSAB, we will continue to develop collaborations that will contribute to our travel agencies taking a larger share of the tourism activity between the two countries.
