4TH TÜRSAB TOURISM CONGRESS HOSTED “TOURISM OF THE FUTURE” PANEL
On the second day of the 4th TÜRSAB Tourism Congress, held in Antalya from April 6–8, 2026, under the motto “Education, Communication, and Solidarity,” the event kicked off with the “Tourism of the Future” panel, which examined the future of the industry.
Moderated by journalist Gaffar Yakınca, the panel featured journalists Ali Çağatay and Nagehan Alçı, as well as an Artificial Intelligence (AI) robot identified within the system as “Thomas Cook,” the founder of the world’s first travel agency.
During the session, which addressed the impacts of AI technology on tourism employment, the need to maintain a balance between technology and the human element, and the strategic opportunities digital transformation offers the sector, it was emphasized that technology serves as a tool to enhance efficiency rather than a mere alternative. The session, which evaluated the key challenges Turkish tourism may face in the coming period and new-generation approaches in the digitalization process, concluded in an interactive atmosphere with intense interest from participants.
