4TH TÜRSAB TOURISM CONGRESS STARTS WITH HIGH ATTENDANCE
Organized by the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) and having become a benchmark for the industry, the TÜRSAB Tourism Congress’s 4th edition opened its doors on Monday, April 6, at the Antalya Nirvana Cosmopolitan Lara Hotel under the motto “Education, Communication, and Solidarity.” The three-day event will continue to host industry representatives, major brands, and thought leaders from all corners of Türkiye, spanning politics, business, academia, and technology.
The opening ceremony of the congress was attended by TÜRSAB Board of Directors President Firuz Bağlıkaya, Vice Presidents Davut Günaydın and Hasan Eker, along with Board Members, the Chairpersons and Members of the Audit and Disciplinary Committees, the President’s Senior Advisors, RRB Presidents and RRB Board Members, and the Presidents and Members of the Specialization Departments.
Safranbolu President Elif Köse, Director of the Tourism, Promotion, and Marketing Department at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment under the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Mine Emiroğlu, TUREB President Abdulkadir Tanrıdağlı, KITSAB President Oğuz Akançay, TTYD President Oya Narin, Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) President Yusuf Hacısüleymanoğlu, President of the International Vuslat Platform Hamza Cebeci, and Chairman of the DEİK Cuba Business Council (Turkish Side) Oğuz Satıcı, along with protocol guests, travel agency representatives, industry stakeholders, and numerous members of the press, attended the event.
Bağlıkaya, who delivered the opening speech at the congress, emphasized that tourism is a sector with profound social impacts, stating, “Tourism is never just tourism. Tourism is foreign relations, the economy, communication, peace, hope, and tranquility. Beyond this depth of meaning, tourism is an activity where elements such as marketing, transportation, guiding, accommodation, and many others are transformed into a product through the harmonious integration of knowledge and labor.”
Emphasizing that tour operators and travel agencies are the architects of this activity, Bağlıkaya said, “Travel agencies are professional commercial enterprises that plan, organize, and implement all activities carried out in the name of tourism… Together, we are strong.”
Bağlıkaya presented a plaque of appreciation to the conference sponsors following his opening remarks.
