8TH ISTANBUL ECONOMIC SUMMIT WAS HELD WITH THE THEME “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND ECONOMY”

At the summit, which was attended by TÜRSAB President Firuz B. Bağlıkaya, Board Members Yıldırım Taş and Oya Ebru Küçükel and the accompanying TÜRSAB committee; First Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Elnur Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation of the Republic of Albania Blerta Rama, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Ekrem İmamoğlu, Vice President of the Istanbul Economic Summit Kaan Saltık, President of the Executive Committee of the Istanbul Economic Summit Abdullah Değer made opening speeches.

Ussal Şahbaz, Founding Partner of Ussal Consultancy, moderated the panel titled “Tourism in the Digital World” organized by our Association, which started with a short speech by Yıldırım Taş, Member of our Board of Directors. Caroline Bremner, Head of Travel and Tourism Research Department at Euromonitor, Adolfo Reyes, Head of Membership and Associations Department at WTTC, and Dr. Erdem Erkul, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Cerebrum Tech, participated in the panel as speakers.

In the panel, opinions on the effects of artificial intelligence on the tourism sector were shared.
