A COLLABORATION MEETING WAS HELD BETWEEN THE TÜRSAB GASTRONOMY TOURISM SPECIALIZATION DEPARTMENT PRESIDENCY, AND THE IRO GASTRONOMY COMMITTEE
The TÜRSAB Gastronomy Tourism Specialization Department and the Istanbul Tourist Guides Association Gastronomy Committee held a collaboration meeting on November 4, 2025.
At the meeting, a comprehensive roadmap was developed to more effectively promote Turkey's rich culinary culture to global tourism. In line with this shared goal, decisions were made to provide certified gastronomy tourism training for guides and travel agency professionals, organize joint booths and gastronomy workshops at international gastronomy fairs, and develop digital platforms, documentary projects, and influencer collaborations. It was also decided to move forward with the creation of a regional flavor inventory, sustainable gastronomy reports, academic publications, and the mapping and certification of thematic gastronomy routes such as "Anatolian Flavor Routes."
As part of this meaningful collaboration, we would like to thank all our participating members for contributing to the rise of gastronomy tourism in our country.
