A COOPERATION MEETING BETWEEN THE TURKISH MINISTRY OF FAMILY AND SOCIAL SERVICES AND TÜRSAB WAS HELD TO INCREASE WOMEN'S EMPLOYMENT IN THE TOURISM SECTOR
Within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between the Ministry of Family and Social Services and TÜRSAB to increase female employment in the tourism sector and strengthen the representation of women in the sector, an online meeting was held at the TÜRSAB Central Office on Monday, February 9.
The meeting was attended by Oya Ebru Küçükel, Advisor to the President, and Av. Çağla Elhan, Deputy Secretary General, on behalf of TÜRSAB; and Ayşe Türkay Aydemir, Director of Guidance and Social Support Services at the General Directorate of Child Services, and her delegation on behalf of the Ministry of Family and Social Services.
At the meeting, a 9-week training program was planned, led by TÜRSAB, with the aim of employing young women aged 18-24 full-time in travel agencies. The program, consisting of theoretical and practical training, is expected to start with a group of 20-25 participants. It is anticipated that social security contributions will be provided for 20 young women under state protection to be employed, and that the process will be transformed into a sustainable model after the pilot application.
As TÜRSAB, we remain committed to continuing our efforts to strengthen inclusive employment in the tourism sector, generate social benefits, and establish sustainable partnerships.
