A MEETING ON COOPERATION IN TOURISM WAS HELD BETWEEN TÜRSAB AND THE CONSULATE GENERAL OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA IN ISTANBUL

An important meeting was held between the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) and the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Istanbul on April 30, 2025 to strengthen cooperation in the field of tourism. During the luncheon hosted by the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Istanbul, mutual views were exchanged on the development of tourism relations between the two countries.
 
Representing TÜRSAB, the President of the Board of Directors Mr. Firuz Bağlıkaya and Vice Presidents Mr. Davut Günaydın and Mr. Hasan Eker attended the meeting. The delegation of the People's Republic of China included Consul General of Istanbul Mr. Wei Xiaodong, Deputy Consul General Mr. Wu Jian, Chief of Consular Affairs Unit Mr. Sui Kaige and Consular Affairs Attaché Mr. Zhou Weicheng were present.
 
Within the scope of the meeting, issues such as increasing mutual tourist traffic between the two countries, establishing closer cooperation in the tourism sector and realizing joint projects were discussed. The parties expressed a strong and constructive will to further deepen cooperation in the coming period.
