A “NEW CONSUMER / NEW TOURIST” SESSION WAS HELD AS PART OF THE 4TH TÜRSAB TOURISM CONGRESS
The third day of the 4th TÜRSAB Tourism Congress continued with the “New Consumer / New Tourist” session, which focused on consumer behavior.
The session, held on Wednesday, April 8, featured academic Levent Erden as a speaker. In his presentation, Erden shared with participants the accelerating pace of global change driven by digitalization, the “multi-personality” era emerging in the 21st century as mass tourism comes to an end, and the profile of the new generation of tourists taking shape in an age of unpredictability.
The session, which addressed hyper-targeting strategies enabled by the processing of personalized data, the concept of “algorithmocracy” where algorithms determine the future, and new narrative models to be created through the integration of tourism into new-generation platforms such as gamification, concluded with intense interest and interactive participation from attendees.
