DAVUT GÜNAYDIN, VICE PRESIDENT OF TÜRSAB, VISITED THE CHINESE CONSULATA GENERAL AND HELD A MEETING
TÜRSAB Vice President Davut Günaydın met with Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Istanbul Wei Xiaodong, Deputy Consul General Wu Jian and Consular and Visa Unit Manager Sui Kaige at China Visa Application Center on September 7, 2023.
At the meeting, which was attended by DEIK and Chamber of Commerce officials and representatives of travel agencies working with China, steps to facilitate travel between China and Turkey were discussed.
A presentation was made by Consul General Wei Xiaodong at the meeting. In the presentation, applications for visa facilitation for Turkish citizens wishing to travel to China were explained. In this context;
- As of August 30, the Covid-19 PCR, Antigen test and "People's Republic of China Customs Entry/Exit Health Declaration" obligation imposed on passengers traveling to China has been abolished,
- People traveling to China to attend important political and business events will be exempted from digital fingerprinting,
- If the invitation letter is sent on behalf of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Ankara, it will be processed by the Consulate General after verifying the relevant procedures,
- The visa application center will provide VIP services and services upon request of the applicants,
- People who want to go to China for important political and commercial events, emergencies and humanitarian reasons will be able to obtain their visa earlier than the normal process by submitting the relevant document after the visa process is completed and approved,
- Persons who want to apply for a visa with a company invitation letter can apply with a photocopy of the invitation letter, the business license of the inviting Chinese company, the original and signed commitment letter of the company invitation letter instead of the ID card scan of the Chinese owner of the inviting company,
- The country's provincial and municipal chambers of commerce, professional associations, and financial institutions or businesses with strong reputations will be provided with the necessary facilities to apply for visas,
- Support for obtaining multiple and long-term visas,
- Visa applicants will only need to submit the first page and last workplace information of the SSI service document,
- The visa application center will increase the daily visa appointment quota and extend the daily appointment hours,
- Visa interview days will be increased and interviews will be held every day from Monday to Friday.
