“EMITT 28TH EAST MEDITERRANEAN INTERNATIONAL TOURISM AND TRAVEL EXHIBITION” OPENS ITS DOORS TO VISITORS
The “EMITT 28th East Mediterranean International Tourism and Travel Exhibition” officially opened its doors today at Istanbul TÜYAP Fair & Congress Center.
Opening speeches were delivered by prominent figures, including the Deputy Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment, Fikri Ataoğlu; Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Venezuela, Leticia Cecilia Gomez Hernandez; Istanbul Governor Davut Gül; Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu; General Director of Promotion at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Timuçin Güler; Turkish Airlines Deputy General Manager Ahmet Olmuştur; TÜROFED President Erkan Yağcı; TTYD President Oya Narin; İş Bankası Deputy General Manager Sezgin Yılmaz; and EMITT Fair Director Hacer Aydın. Representing our association, Vice President Hasan Eker also gave a speech during the opening ceremony.
In addition, the protocol included governors, mayors, and esteemed representatives of the tourism sector.
In his opening remarks, Hasan Eker emphasized that “80% of tourists coming to Turkey are brought by travel agencies,” highlighting the significant contribution of travel agencies to the country’s economy and employment. He further noted that TÜRSAB aims not to compete over the existing market share but to create a larger one, focusing on growth and sustainable development within the sector.
Throughout the exhibition, all our members can utilize the 126 m² TÜRSAB stand area located in Hall 8 at booth number 8240 for meetings and business discussions free of charge.
