MIDDLE EAST TOURISM SPECIALIZATION DEPARTMENT MEETING HELD
The Middle East Tourism Specialization Department meeting was held on Wednesday, April 22nd, at the TÜRSAB Central Office in a hybrid format.
The meeting was attended by the Middle East Tourism Specialization Department President, Hasan Bayram, the Vice Presidents Cüneyt Yedikardeş, Yusuf Türkmen, Ercan Sarı, and members of the Specialization Department Board. The meeting comprehensively addressed strategic studies aimed at developing Middle East tourism in Türkiye and the fundamental problems facing the sector.
The meeting primarily focused on VIP transportation restrictions between Galataport and Sultanahmet, increases in operational costs, and technical issues related to document usage. In addition, problems experienced in parking and passenger drop-off/pick-up processes at airports, shopping centers, and tourist areas were evaluated. Critical topics were addressed, including the request for discounted services from İSPARK, cash payment restrictions imposed by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Treasury and Finance, company name registration processes at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, and driver training programs aimed at raising service standards.
