OUR “TOURISM CENTURY BURDUR” ORGANIZATION WAS HELD WITH INTENSE PARTICIPATION
Our “Tourism Century Burdur” organization, which we organized to expand tourism for 12 months and to 81 provinces, was held in Burdur with the presentation of our Information Technologies and Media Communication Group President Mesut Kanat with the participation of Burdur Governor Tülay Baydar Bilgihan, DEIK President Nail Olpak, President of our Board of Directors Firuz Bağlıkaya, Rector of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, as well as many bureaucrats, academicians, tourism sector representatives, popular names of digital media and press members.
In the opening speeches emphasizing the importance of highlighting Burdur's historical and cultural values and sustainable tourism, our President Firuz Bağlıkaya said, “We must protect Burdur from the destruction of mass tourism and turn it into a destination that creates added value.” and drew attention to the need to take the right steps to develop the potential of the region. Burdur Governor Tülay Baydar Bilgihan said that they aim to make Burdur a tourism center by protecting its ecological richness. Nail Olpak expressed his support by saying “We will work together for the promotion and tourism of Burdur”.
The event continued with the presentation of the “Final Declaration Report” of our Burdur Search Conference held in recent months, accompanied by the valuable opinions of İlker Ünsever, our TÜRSAB Chief Legal Counsel.
In the panel moderated by Journalist-Writer İhsan Aktaş, with the participation of DEİK President Nail Olpak, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar, Artist Sümer Ezgü and TV Programmer Güven İslamoğlu, information was shared about what can be done for the development of tourism in the region by protecting our cultural and historical heritage.
During the event, local culinary delicacies were served, musician Fatih Burgurlu's music stage and dance performances were held. The first day of the organization ended with a dinner at the Stone Room Gastronomy Kitchen.
