SONER BACAKSIZ, OUR CHIEF ADVISOR TO THE PRESIDENT, APPOINTED AS HONORARY CONSUL OF LATVIA IN GAZIANTEP

The opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Latvia in Gaziantep was held on May 14, 2024 at the Grand Hotel. Our Chief Advisor to the President Soner Bacaksız was appointed as the Honorary Consul of Latvia in Gaziantep.

The opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate was attended by Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber, TÜRSAB Committee headed by TÜRSAB President Firuz Bağlıkaya, Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce Vice President Taner Özdurak, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Hakan Aslansoy, Latvian Ambassador H.E. Pēteris Vaivars, Honorary Consul of Latvia in Bursa Yavuz İskenderoğlu and many important names.

In his speech at the ceremony, our President Firuz Bağlıkaya emphasized the friendly relations between the two countries and stated that it is important to open the Honorary Consulate of Latvia in Gaziantep, one of the most important tourism destinations in Turkey.

Our Chief Advisor to the President and Honorary Consul of Latvia in Gaziantep, Mr. Soner Bacaksız stated that he was proud of the duty given and stated that the foundation of the friendship that will last for centuries between the two countries was laid.
