SOUTH AFRICA'S MINISTER OF TOURISM, PATRICIA DE LILLE, AND HER ACCOMPANYING DELEGATION VISITED TÜRSAB CENTRAL OFFICE
TÜRSAB hosted an important meeting with the Republic of South Africa to strengthen cooperation in tourism. South African Minister of Tourism, Patricia de Lille, and Ministry of Tourism Spokesperson, Mr. Aldrin Sampear, visited TÜRSAB Headquarters and met with TÜRSAB President of the Board, Mr. Firuz Bağlıkaya. The TÜRSAB committee included Vice President Mr. Davut Günaydın, Board Member Mr. Yıldırım Taş, and Chief Advisor to the President, Mr. Numan Olcar.
The TÜRSAB and South African delegations comprehensively discussed opportunities for mutual tourism cooperation. Discussions included increasing the promotion of destinations, more effectively promoting South Africa in the Turkish market through tour operators, and tourism diversity.
At the meeting, information was provided about TÜRSAB's structure, its relationships with travel agencies, and its functions in tourism. Bağlıkaya emphasized the importance of establishing a sustainable tourism relationship between the two countries, stating that South Africa's rich destinations should be promoted to Turkish tourists and that the visibility of Turkish tourism in the region should be increased. He highlighted significant opportunities for cooperation in the areas of halal tourism, MICE (congress and event tourism), and destination diversity.
We thank South African Minister of Tourism Patricia de Lille and Ministry of Tourism Spokesperson Aldrin Sampear for their kind visit.
