THE 5TH NATIONAL ACTION PLAN TO COMBAT VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN WAS PUBLICLY HAS ANNOUNCED
The 5th National Action Plan to Combat Violence Against Women (2026-2030) was launched at a program held on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The program aims to reach a wide audience on social media platforms with the slogan "We are here to combat violence against women!" and the hashtag #İşaretiFarkEt.
The program, hosted by Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş at the Presidential Beştepe National Congress and Culture Center, attracted considerable attention from government institutions, civil society representatives, academics, and international organizations. Oya Ebru Küçükel attended the event on behalf of our Union.
The 5th National Action Plan, which was shaped by consultation meetings covering seven regions, comprehensive data analyses, stakeholder surveys and focus group studies, entered into force with the Presidential Circular dated November 25, 2025, and will begin to be implemented as of January 1, 2026.
