THE ANZAC DAY GALLIPOLI 2026 COMMEMORATION CEREMONIES TOUR OPERATORS BRIEFING WAS HELD IN A HYBRID FORMAT
Organized by the Australian Government’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) and the New Zealand Government’s New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), the “ANZAC Day Gallipoli Dawn Service” to be held on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 2026, the “ANZAC Day Gallipoli 2026 Commemoration Ceremonies Tour Operators Information Meeting,” which provided details on the itinerary, operations, and program flow for the “Anzac Day Gallipoli 2026 Commemoration Ceremonies Tour Operators Information Meeting” was held in a hybrid format on Tuesday, April 21, under the coordination of our Association.
Representing TÜRSAB, Board Member Tülay Salihoğlu, Cultural Tourism Specialist Chair Hakan Çokgezen, and MICE Tourism Specialist Chair Gürkan Akün attended the meeting. From the delegations of the Australian Government’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) and the New Zealand Government’s New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), the event was attended by Sean Byrne, Director of Ceremonies at the Australian Department of Veterans’ Affairs; Simon Garner, Operations Manager; Marshell Oldhaver, New Zealand Bus Operations Officer; Belde Ayan Erdem, Project Manager at the Australian Consulate in Çanakkale, and Barış Kaya, Office Manager at the Australian Consulate in Çanakkale, along with our members.
During the meeting, which addressed issues of interest to tour operators in the context of this year’s Anzac Day Gallipoli Commemoration Ceremonies, current planning regarding the organizational process, final preparations for the ceremony, and practical information were shared.
