THE “TURKEY TOURISM FUTURE VISION FINAL REPORT” WAS PRESENTED AS PART OF THE 4TH TÜRSAB TOURISM CONGRESS
During the closing session of the 4th TÜRSAB Tourism Congress, TÜRSAB Board of Directors Vice President and Congress Coordinator Hasan Eker delivered the presentation titled “Türkiye's Future Vision for Tourism Final Report.”
Beginning his presentation with the words, “The future is the responsibility of those living in the present,” Hasan Eker shared the details of the report, which was prepared following extensive consultations with TÜRSAB’s management and decision-making bodies, tourism authorities, and sector stakeholders. Eker emphasized that this initiative, aimed at collectively shaping the future of tourism, was structured within the framework of responsible, protective, fair, and sustainable environmental principles.
The strategic headings forming the core pillars of the TÜRSAB Tourism Vision are as follows:
- Ensuring the economic value of tourism is sustained,
- Ensuring tourism activities are spread across the entire country and that every region benefits from tourism,
- Ensuring that every citizen, particularly young people, benefits from tourism activities,
- Enhancing the knowledge and skills of businesses and employees engaged in tourism activities,
- Supporting efforts to cultivate educated generations in tourism professions,
- Working to improve the working and living conditions of tourism workers,
- Working to ensure that tourism services are safe against all kinds of risks,
- Establishing collective wisdom, local autonomy, and the sector’s right to have a say in the tourism sector,
- Enhancing the development of the tourism profession and service quality,
- Simultaneously ensuring the satisfaction of tourists, the public, and tourism professionals.
Hasan Eker emphasized at the end of his presentation that their primary goal is not merely to increase the number of tourists, but to build “better tourism for everyone.”
