THE TÜRSAB TOURISM CONGRESS HOSTED THE LAUNCH OF MICE INCENTIVES BY THE TURKISH MINISTRY OF COMMERCE
The 4th TÜRSAB Tourism Congress’s second day featured the launch of MICE Incentives by Dr. Yusuf Karakaş, Deputy Director General of International Services Trade at the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye, during which new support models and financial packages for the sector were announced to the public.
During the session held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 2:45 PM, details were shared regarding a wide range of incentives—from travel agency commissions to advertising, promotion, and marketing activities—aimed at increasing Turkey’s market share in global congress tourism. The presentation highlighted the Ministry’s modern bureaucratic approach, which adapts to the dynamism of travel agencies, and emphasized that support rates in strategically important target markets are being applied with a 20% increase.
The launch event, which highlighted the Ministry’s solution-oriented approach—where it assumes the financial burden of operational processes to allow tourism professionals to fully focus on business development—concluded following a detailed presentation of current incentive models to sector representatives and a Q&A session.
