TOUR COST CALCULATION TRAINING HELD AT TÜRSAB CENTRAL OFFICE
TÜRSAB Academy Tour Cost Calculation Training was held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the TÜRSAB Central Office Conference Hall with the active participation of travel agencies.
The training, led by experienced industry figure Erdal Çeri, comprehensively addressed the importance of accurate pricing in tour operations, the complete and systematic calculation of cost items, and methods for maintaining profitability. The program included detailed explanations on the correct classification of fixed (bus, guide, etc.) and variable (museum, meals, etc.) costs, per capita (per pax) cost calculation techniques, and methods for creating dynamic cost tables based on different occupancy scenarios (20, 30, 40 people).
The training also covered topics such as break-even analysis to determine the minimum number of participants required for the tour not to incur a loss, the impact of currency fluctuations on prices, and budgeting for hidden expenses such as bank commissions and operational losses, using practical examples. Through a case study based on a real tour program, participants had the opportunity to develop data-driven pricing practices. The training, aimed at enhancing the financial literacy of tourism professionals, was followed with great interest by industry representatives.
We would like to thank all our members who participated in the training.
