“TOURISM SECURITY HANDBOOK FOR TRAVEL AGENCIES” PRESENTED TO THE PUBLIC AT A PRESS CONFERENCE HELD AT THE TÜRSAB CENTRAL OFFICE

Prepared by The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), the “Tourism Security Handbook for Travel Agencies” which will guide travel agencies in evaluating service provider facilities in terms of security, legislation, and risk criteria, was presented to the public at a press conference held at the TÜRSAB Headquarters on June 26, 2025.

The launch was attended by TÜRSAB President Firuz Bağlıkaya, TÜRSAB Vice Presidents Davut Günaydın and Hasan Eker, TÜRSAB Chief Legal Advisor İlker Ünsever, Deputy Secretary General Çağla Elhan, the TÜRSAB committee, and numerous members of the press.

TÜRSAB President Firuz Bağlıkaya said in his opening speech, “With this book, we aim to enable our agencies to evaluate their service providers in a more conscious and secure manner. We hope that it will contribute to the spread of security awareness in tourism.”

TÜRSAB Chief Legal Advisor İlker Ünsever emphasized the sectoral importance of the handbook, saying, “This publication is the first technical resource prepared in Turkey in this scope. It fills an important gap in our sector.”

The “Tourism Security Handbook for Travel Agencies” will be shared with all our members in both printed and digital formats.
