"TÜRKIYE ON THE MICE STAGE" PANEL EVALUATED INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT AREAS
The "Turkiye on the MICE Stage" panel, organized by the TÜRSAB MICE Specialization Presidency as part of the Antalya Tourism Fair, addressed Turkiye's position in the global MICE market, its strengths, and areas for development.
The panel highlighted topics such as Turkiye's place in the global MICE sector, the impact of destination branding on MICE tourism, and the impact of economic developments on the sector. Participants emphasized the importance of sustainable promotional strategies and collaborations to enhance Turkey's international competitiveness.
The panel was moderated by Gürkan Akün, our MICE Tourism Specialization President, and featured panelists Hüseyin Kurt, Founding Partner of GlobeMeets and Oliva MICE and President of the I-MICE Advisory Board; Emre Gezgin, President of the Skal Turkiye Federation; and Barış Kökkaya, General Manager of Granada Luxury Hotels.
The event included our Board Member Yıldırım Taş, our Chief Advisor to the President Hamit Kuk, our Vice Presidents of MICE Tourism Specialization, Yusuf Cemal Yüksel and İlker Habeşoğlu, and our TÜRSAB committee were among the attendees, along with numerous industry representatives and travel agencies.
The panel also shared information about TÜRSAB's work in MICE tourism and its ongoing projects for the sector. In this context, efforts to strengthen Turkiye's congress, meeting, and event tourism potential, attract international events to our country, and develop sustainable strategies for destination promotion were highlighted.
