TÜRSAB ATTENDED THE “A GASTRONOMIC JOURNEY THROUGH CULTURAL HERITAGE” PANEL HELD AT AREL UNIVERSITY
In collaboration with the Department of Tourism Guiding and the Career Planning Center at Istanbul Arel University’s Vocational School, the “The Gastronomic Journey of Cultural Heritage” panel was held on Tuesday, March 31.
Representing our Association, our Gastronomy Tourism President M. Tümay İmamoğlu and TÜRSAB Cultural Tourism Specialization President Hakan Çokgezen participated as panelists.
The program, which drew significant interest, brought together future cultural ambassadors—tour guide candidates—to discuss the importance of cultural heritage within the framework of gastronomy tourism. Imamoğlu and Çokgezen shared their industry experiences during the panel and provided participants with information about the initiatives being carried out by TÜRSAB. The meeting, which took place with the active participation of students and academics, fostered a productive exchange of ideas as questions were answered and professional experiences were shared.
Held in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the event offered a cultural perspective through the lens of gastronomic tourism, contributing to the development of the guide candidates aimed to be integrated into the tourism sector. At the conclusion of the program, gratitude was expressed to the administration of the Istanbul Arel University Tour Guide Program for hosting the event and providing valuable opportunities to the students.
