TÜRSAB HOSTED THE CONSUL GENERAL OF ARGENTINA IN ISTANBUL

Consul General of the Republic of Argentina in Istanbul, Ms. Beatriz VIVAS and the accompanying committee paid a courtesy visit to TÜRSAB President Firuz Bağlıkaya at TÜRSAB Central Office on April 30, 2025. During the visit, cooperation opportunities for the development of tourism relations between Turkey and Argentina were evaluated.

TÜRSAB Vice Presidents Davut Günaydın and Hasan Eker were also present at the meeting. Consul General Beatriz Vivas was accompanied by Wanda Priscila Konnicke, Deputy Consul General, and Tanya Petruk, Assistant to the Consulate's Culture and Trade Department.

During the meeting, steps that can be taken to increase mutual tourism mobility between the two countries were discussed. It was suggested to organize events to promote Argentina's history, natural beauties, gastronomy and cultural richness in Turkey. In this context, the idea of organizing Argentina promotion, tasting days and tango nights in different cities of Turkey came to the agenda. Including documentaries promoting Argentina on TÜRSAB TV screens was also considered among the steps to strengthen cooperation. In addition, the issue of organizing a promotional trip to Argentina for travel agencies from Turkey was also discussed.

The meeting was noted as an important step towards the realization of concrete projects for the development of relations between Turkey and Argentina in the field of tourism.
