TÜRSAB PARTICIPATED IN THE 19TH TTI İZMIR INTERNATIONAL TOURISM TRADE FAIR AND CONGRESS WITH A LARGE DELEGATION
Organized in collaboration with İZFAŞ and TÜRSAB, the 19th TTI İzmir International Tourism Trade Fair and Congress, bringing together tourism professionals from around the world, opened to the public on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The fair, one of Turkey's largest international tourism gatherings, was attended by TÜRSAB President Firuz Bağlıkaya, Vice Presidents Davut Günaydın and Hasan Eker, Board Members Mert Vardar, Tülay Salihoğlu, Cevat Engin Şahin, Gürkan Özcan, Mehmet Akyıl, Hamit Kuk, Öner Uygun, Kıvanç Meriç, Özgür Ildır Öksüz, Şebnem Urgancıoğlu, Kerem Serkan Çoban, Özgür Ersoy, Yeşim Yeşiltaç, and Erhan Falay, our RRB Presidents, our Specialization Department Presidents, and the accompanying TÜRSAB committee.
As part of the opening ceremony, Vice President Hasan Eker delivered the first speech representing our Association. He emphasized that the İzmir TTI Fair is a significant platform for our country. Emphasizing the importance of cooperation rather than competition in the tourism sector, Eker stated that all cities and countries are vying for a share of the tourism sector and that the sector can only be strengthened by working together.
Following their speeches, Mr. Evans Muhanga, Permanent Secretary of the Zambian Ministry of Tourism; Mr. Samir Sibonjic, Minister of Economy of the Zenica Doboy Canton of Bosnia and Herzegovina; Mr. Fikri Ataoğlu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment of the TRNC; and Dr. Cemil Tugay, Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, presented their respective countries' and regions' tourism visions and discussed opportunities for mutual cooperation, joint promotional activities, regional tourism potential, and strengthening international collaborations.
Following the speeches, Bağlıkaya, our Board Members, and the accompanying TÜRSAB committee visited the fairgrounds. Our TÜRSAB stand, number C108, located in Hall B, was used free of charge by all our members for meetings and business meetings, and productive discussions were held.
