TÜRSAB TV WAS AWARDED THE "SKALITE '25" TOURISM BROADCAST AWARD FOR ITS BROADCASTS THAT TAKE THE PULSE OF THE TOURISM WORLD
The "Skalite '25" Awards, which aim to promote quality in tourism, were presented in 34 different branches at a ceremony held in Istanbul. The awards were presented at the event, organized by the Skal Istanbul Club, part of Skal International, the world's largest non-governmental organization in the tourism sector, which brings together tourism professionals under one roof. Skal International World President Denise Scraton and Skal International Turkey Federation President Emre Gezgin were also present.
Our Vice President, Hasan Eker, Board Member and Founder of the Skal Mesopotamia Club, Mehmet Akyıl, Audit Committee Member, Tülay Salihoğlu, and Information Technologies, Media and Communications Group President, Mesut Kanat, attended the awards ceremony.
TÜRSAB TV, our digital broadcasting platform, established in line with the vision of TÜRSAB Chairman Firuz Bağlıkaya, as the voice of the sector and keeping abreast of the tourism world, was awarded the "Tourism Broadcast" award as part of "Skalite'25."
Since its inception, TÜRSAB TV has continued to be the voice of our members and open new horizons for tourism professionals. With its content on tourism law, culture, gastronomy, alternative tourism, and fam trips, as well as travel videos spanning the globe, it has reached a broad audience. TÜRSAB TV aims to inform travel agencies, raise sectoral awareness, and promote the strength of our sector to a wider audience by bringing the latest news, interviews, documentaries, panels, and live broadcasts to viewers. The award was accepted on behalf of the team by Mesut Kanat, Head of Information Technologies, Media, and Communications Group.
The evening, which began with the October 29 Republic Day celebrations, presented the "Skalite'25" awards. Awards were presented to local and international chain hotels, boutique hotels, and travel agencies operating in incoming, outgoing, and MICE tourism. Awards were also presented in the categories of transportation, restaurant operations, contributions to cultural heritage, tourism education, tourism investment, tourism publications, and innovative contributions to tourism. In addition, Skål clubs presented their own special awards to individuals and organizations in various branches.
Prof. Dr. Aytaç Coşkun, Director of the Diyarbakır Zerzevan Castle Excavations, was awarded the "Skalite'25" Regional Award, presented to him by Board Member Mehmet Akyıl.
The "Lifetime Achievement Award," one of the special "Skalite'25" awards, was presented to our member Nurdan Üstman, who has been working in the tourism sector for 60 years.
