UGANDA BUREAUCRATIC DELEGATION MEETS WITH BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVES AND TRAVEL AGENTS IN ISTANBUL
The Ugandan bureaucratic delegation met with business representatives and travel agents in Istanbul.
Representing our Association at the event, which promoted Uganda's tourism, investment, and trade potential, were TÜRSAB Vice President Davut Günaydın, Istanbul Boğaziçi RRB President Yüksel Türemez, Gastronomy Specialization President Erdal Çeri, and members of the Specialization Presidency.
The programme, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, Mr. Jeje Odongo, was attended by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Bagiire Vincent Waiswa, the Ambassador of the Republic of Uganda to Turkey, Ambassador Nusura Tiperu, the Head of the Department of International Economic Affairs, Mr. Julius Mwijusya, the Deputy Director of Investment Promotion at the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), Ms. Rita N. Mugula, Member of the Board of Directors of the Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotion Authority (UFZEPA) Mr. Emmanuel Mutahunga, Mr. Nelson Kasigaire from the Ugandan Embassy in Ankara, and Mr. Francis Nyende, Marketing Director of the Uganda Tourism Board.
Hosted by Mr. Hüseyin Kurt, the event brought together representatives of the business community, investors, and travel agencies in Istanbul to share their goals for developing economic and tourism-focused cooperation between Turkey and Uganda. Participants had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the unique safari experiences Uganda offers, its investment advantages, and its status as one of the safest countries in Africa.
