“COMMON MIND, OPPORTUNITIES AND FUTURE VISION IN HEALTH TOURISM” WORKSHOP HELD UNDER THE HOSTING OF ISTANBUL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
The “Common Mind, Opportunities and Future Vision in Health Tourism” workshop, hosted by the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, addressed the current state of the health tourism sector, sustainable growth strategies, strengthening international competitiveness, and opportunities for cooperation among sector stakeholders.
The workshop was attended by Uzm. Dr. Hasan Basri Velioğlu, Director General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Türkiye; Deputy Directors General Av. Dr. Şehmuz Ertekin and Dt. Mustafa Yenilmez; Head of the Department of Health Tourism Seher Taş; Dr. A. Alperen Kaçar, Deputy Director General for International Service Trade at the Ministry of Trade; Op. Dr. Zülfü Kılıç, Head of Health Services at the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate; along with representatives from the public sector, private sector, and non-governmental organizations.
At the workshop, representing our Association, Health Tourism Specialization Committee Head Şehnaz Atak Askeroğlu and Health Tourism Specialization Committee Vice President Dr. Gurbet Altay participated as speakers. Our representatives shared TÜRSAB’s views and proposals regarding the role of travel agencies in health tourism, improving service quality, supporting registered and sustainable growth, and strengthening Türkiye’s international brand value.
As TÜRSAB, we continue our efforts to advance Türkiye’s position in health tourism in close cooperation with public institutions, healthcare organizations, and sector stakeholders.
