CULTURAL TOURISM SPECIALIZATION DEPARTMENT ORGANIZED A CULTURAL TOUR ALONG THE GOLDEN HORN SHORES AS PART OF THE “PAYDA WITH STUDENTS” PROJECT

The TÜRSAB Culture Tourism Specialization Department organized the Golden Horn Shores Cultural Tour as part of the Payda Association’s “Payda Together with Students Project.”

The program, which included 20 participants—comprising elementary, high school, and university students, as well as parents, siblings, and association volunteers—provided attendees with the opportunity to explore the historical, cultural, and gastronomic heritage of the Golden Horn up close.

The tour, led by  Deputy President of the Gastronomy Tourism Specialization Department Cem Balsun, was also accompanied by President of the Cultural Tourism Specialization Department Hakan Çokgezen and Deputy President of the Cultural Tourism Specialization Department İlker Horozcu. As part of the program, historical structures, religious heritage sites, educational institutions, and cultural landmarks in the Ayakapı, Fener, and Balat districts were visited, providing insights into the region’s multi-layered history.

The event offered participants the chance to experience Istanbul’s historical and cultural heritage firsthand while contributing to raising awareness about the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.
