THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL ISTANBUL TOURISM FAIR OPENS ITS DOORS

The 4th International Istanbul Tourism Fair (ITF) opened its doors to visitors today in Istanbul.

At the opening of the fair, the Deputy Prime Minister of the TRNC and Minister of Culture, Youth, and Environment, Fikri Ataoğlu, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, Nadir Alpaslan, General Director of the Ministry of Commerce, Tarık Sönmez, Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Şekib Avdagiç, President of TÜROB, Müberra Eresin, CEO of ICCA, Senthill Gopinath, President of HOTREC, Alexandros Vassilikos, and CEO and Board Member of Dream Project, Volkan Ataman, along with our TÜRSAB Vice President, Hasan Eker, also participated as speakers.

Speaking at the opening, which was also attended by the President of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), Luigi Cabrini, Eker emphasized the importance of travel agencies in the development of Turkish tourism and highlighted the need to maintain fair competition conditions for the healthy development of the sector. Referring to the regulations on international online travel platforms, Eker stated that protecting travel agencies from unfair competition is important for both the sector and consumers.

On the first day of the fair, our TÜRSAB stand received great interest from industry representatives and visitors.
