THE DELEGATION OF THE GAMBIA TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY INSTITUTE VISITED TÜRSAB

The delegation from the Gambia Tourism and Hospitality Institute (GTHI) visited the TÜRSAB General Headquarters on Monday, September 21, 2026, and met with the President of the Gastronomy Tourism Expert Committee, Tümay İmamoğlu, and the President of the Hajj-Umrah Expert Committee, Salih Kutluoğlu.

The Gambian delegation was represented by GTHI General Director and Project Manager Momodou Singhateh, Head of the Writing Department Dawda Baldeh, Consultant and Project Coordinator Alagie Bojang, Consultant and Project Trainer Momodou Ngum, and Assistant Trainer Saikou Fofana.

During the meeting, the Gambian delegation provided information about their institutions, GHTI, and their goals for developing the Gambian Gastronomy Tourism sector, as well as updates on the tourism structure and potential in their country. The TÜRSAB delegation also presented Turkish tourism, the Union's activities, and our country's rich gastronomic culture. In the continuation of the program, the possibilities for destination development between the two countries, mutual visitor expectations, and international cooperation opportunities were discussed, and future-oriented projects were evaluated.
