THE LATAKIA PROMOTIONAL AND INFORMATION TOUR ORGANIZED BY THE TÜRSAB HATAY RRB HAS TAKEN PLACE

As part of the Latakia Promotion and Information Tour organized by our TÜRSAB Hatay Regional Representative Board, we participated in the 1st Turkey–Syria Tourism Forum, hosted by the Syrian Ministry of Tourism, the Latakia Governorate, and the Latakia Chamber of Tourism.

Adile Uğurlu, a member of the Hatay Regional Representative Board, participated in the tour on behalf of our Association.

Throughout the program, discussions were held aimed at restarting tourism flows between the two countries, strengthening cooperation, and developing sustainable tourism initiatives.

The forum addressed topics such as the reestablishment of transportation networks, the development of joint tour packages, the streamlining of visa processes, and the increase in tourism investments. One-on-one meetings were held among industry representatives, laying the groundwork for new partnerships.

As part of the technical inspection tours, tourism facilities in Latakia were inspected on-site. It was observed that the region holds significant potential, particularly for maritime tourism.

We hope this visit will mark the beginning of lasting partnerships that will contribute to the revitalization of tourism, trade, and cultural relations between Turkey and Syria.
