THE MONTHLY MEETING OF THE HEALTH TOURISM EXPERT COMMITTEE WAS HELD

The monthly meeting of the Health Tourism Expert Committee was held in a hybrid format on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the TÜRSAB Headquarters, under the coordination of our Expert Committee Chair, Şehnaz Atak Askeroğlu.

The meeting was attended by our Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, Davut Günaydın, our Vice Chairs of the Health Tourism Expert Committee, and members of the Expert Committee.

The main agenda of the meeting consisted of the current challenges our members face in the medical tourism sector, as well as their views, suggestions, and expectations regarding the sector’s development. Based on the feedback provided by the members, the meeting addressed potential steps to resolve the sector’s challenges and the initiatives to be undertaken in the coming period.

Members were briefed on the transfer operations carried out as part of medical tourism activities and on current practices regarding oversight mechanisms in this field. In addition, recent legislative developments affecting the sector were reviewed, and views were exchanged on the practical implications of the new regulations for our travel agencies and the challenges they face.
