ANNOUNCEMENT ON ACCOMMODATIONS OPERATING WITHOUT A CERTIFICATE
Dear Members,
Pursuant to the letter dated 5.7.2024 and numbered 5368535 titled "Accommodations Operating without a Certificate" sent to our Association by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Investments and Enterprises.
1. It is not possible for the residences rented for tourism purposes without a housing permit certificate to operate legally, the advertising, promotion, marketing and rental of these residences should not be made and those that have been made should be removed immediately, in this context, if the data requested within the scope of the Ministry's Circular dated 10.06.2024 and numbered 2024/3 are not sent, administrative action will be initiated against the advertisements published on the sites, travel agencies can inquire whether the advertisements are certified or not from the link https://www.ktb.gov.tr/genel/bakanlikbelgelikonutlar.aspx on the Ministry's website,
2. It is stated in the fifth article of the Tourism Incentive Law No. 2634 that the workplace opening and working licenses of accommodation establishments that do not obtain a "Tourism Management Certificate" within the periods specified in the fifth article of the Tourism Incentive Law No. 2634 will be canceled, advertising, promotion, marketing and sales of establishments that do not have a "Tourism Management Certificate" and "Simple Accommodation Tourism Management Certificate" should not be made, it is possible to confirm the advertisements on the websites of travel agencies from the Ministry's https://www.ktb.gov.tr/genel/searchhotelgenel.aspx link, and the system specified in the said letter should be switched to urgently,
It is reported that administrative action will be taken if it is determined that travel agencies have not switched to this system on their websites until July 15, 2024 at the latest.
