ANNOUNCEMENT ON FOREIGN EXCHANGE CONVERSION SUPPORT FROM THE CENTRAL BANK OF THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKIYE
Dear Members,
In accordance with the “Implementation Guidelines Regarding the Circular on Supporting the Conversion of Companies’ Foreign Currency Earnings from Overseas Sources into Turkish Lira” published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB), TÜRSAB who generate foreign exchange-generating service revenue from non-residents are eligible to benefit from the foreign exchange conversion support.
The basic conditions required to benefit from this support are outlined below:
Support Rate and Basic Conditions
Foreign Exchange Conversion Support: Companies that sell their foreign exchange derived from abroad to the CBRT through intermediary banks are provided with a support payment equivalent to 2% of the amount converted into Turkish Lira at the conversion rate. (The temporary 3% rate specified in the Implementation Directive has been completed as of April 30, 2026.)
Commitment Not to Purchase Foreign Currency: Members wishing to benefit from the support must submit a written commitment to the bank stating that they will not purchase foreign currency for a period of one month during the foreign currency sale. Additionally, during the commitment period, it is prohibited to transfer Turkish lira or foreign currency abroad for the purpose of derivative transactions or the purchase and sale of foreign currency or precious metals.
In accordance with the Implementation Guidelines, members must obtain a written consent form from accommodation establishments to be eligible for support regarding service fees earned through incoming tourism activities.
Note: Our Association has submitted a written application to the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey to waive the consent form requirement. Should any changes be made regarding this matter, another informational announcement will be issued to our members.
We respectfully bring this to your attention.
