ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE CHANGE OF EDUCATION DATE FOR AIRLINE TICKET SALES PERSONEL TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM

ANNOUNCEMENT
TRAINING AND EDUCATION OF AIRLINE TICKET SALES PERSONNEL
EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM TRAINING DATE CHANGE
(SABRE July 16-17-18-19 and August 6, 2024)

• Due to the need for personnel in the ticketing departments of travel agencies, "Air Ticket Sales Personnel (Travel Consultant) Training Program" will be organized under the roof of TÜRSAB Academy in cooperation with TÜRSAB Airline Ticket Sales and IATA Specialization, SABRE and TÜRSAB Academy to provide qualified personnel to the sector.
• Tourism graduate associate degree and all bachelor's and master's degree graduates who want to specialize in the field of reservation and ticketing will be able to apply to the program to be held in cooperation with SABRE.
• Trainings will be held face to face at TÜRSAB Central Office in Istanbul.
• At the end of the training, travel agencies in need of travel consultant personnel (operating in Istanbul with headquarters or branch offices) will be provided with the opportunity to interview for the employment of candidates who have successfully completed the training program.
• Some of the requirements to participate in the program, for which applications will be received online, are as follows:

-An associate degree in tourism or a bachelor's or master's degree in any field.
-Not actively working or not continuing formal education.
-Not working in any travel agency.
-Not having a previous SABRE Reservation and Ticketing certificate.
-Not to be over 25 years of age.
-For male candidates, having done their military service or having postponed it for at least two years.
-Have at least B1 level English language skills.
-Have basic computer skills and knowledge.

• Applications for participation in the program have started to be made online as of June 2024.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Since the purpose of this program is to bring new expert personnel to the sector, applications of existing agency employees will not be accepted, and agency employees can contact SABRE teams for participation in the training programs planned by SABRE for its own agencies.

PROGRAM DETAILS

• Participants must apply for the training of the SABRE GDS program from the application screen on the TÜRSAB Academy page. https://akademi.tursab.org.tr/
• There is a class quota of 12 people for the training. Candidates who apply online and meet the criteria will be contacted and face-to-face interviews will be held with the candidates who accept the program conditions after the online preliminary interview. Among the candidates who attend the face-to-face interviews, 12 candidates who are deemed suitable will be invited to the training.
• After the training group is formed, the place, date and time of the training will be notified to the candidates.
• Participants will be present at the TURSAB training classroom on the specified dates and will participate in SABRE Basic and Advanced Level Training with computer application after preliminary information including tourism and aviation sector information.
• At the end of the Advanced Level Training, an exam will be held in order to obtain a certificate, and participants who score at least 80 and above in this exam will be considered successful and will be entitled to interview for employment in an agency.
• Certificates will also be shared with the participants by SABRE via e-mail.
• At the end of the training, participants will be hosted for a certain period of time (such as 2-4 weeks) for orientation in order to experience the practical functioning of travel agencies in cooperation with TÜRSAB Academy and SABRE.
• The agency information that the participants are matched with will be notified by TÜRSAB Academy at the end of the training.
• Unless there is a real force majeure, 20.000 TL + VAT, which is the training fee, will be collected from the participant who does not attend the orientation training to be held in the agency matched by receiving training, or who does not start working in any of the agencies recommended to him despite passing the exam, or who leaves the job before 6 months for personal reasons after starting work in the agency where he started working.  The training fee will not be collected from candidates who fulfill all the conditions.
• Candidates who declare that they will participate in the training and sign the training participation documents but declare that they cannot participate less than 2 working days before the start of the training will be charged a penalty fee of 5.000 TL + VAT unless there is a force majeure.
• TÜRSAB reserves the right to make changes in the Training Program.

ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESS

• To apply for the program, the "SABRE Flight Ticket Sales Personnel Training and Employment Program Application" area at https://akademi.tursab.org.tr can be used.
• In order to apply, you must be a member of the TÜRSAB Academy web page. Users with an existing membership can apply by logging in from the Login section, while those who do not yet have a membership can access the application screen after creating an account from the Register section.
• Candidates who log in with their username and password can access the application page by clicking on "New Application & My Existing Applications" and fill out the form.
• After the application process is completed, candidates will be classified based on the information they have entered and the date and place of the training will be notified via e-mail.
