ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE FRIG VALLEY ECOLOGICAL VILLAGE PROJECT
Dear Members,
The Frig Valley Ecological Village Project, carried out in the Han district of Eskişehir under the coordination of the Eskişehir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and with the support of 23 public institutions, is an exemplary social responsibility project implemented with the aim of contributing to the socio-economic development of the local population, stopping migration from villages to cities, and encouraging reverse migration.
Within the scope of the project, Gökçekuyu Neighborhood, designated as the pilot application area, has been restructured as an ecological village where agriculture and tourism intertwine, offering visitors a unique nature and history experience. Shaped with the goal of preserving and promoting the natural and cultural heritage of the Frig Valley, the project contributes to local development while ensuring that tourist groups are an active part of this process.
In this regard, we recommend that our valued agencies include the routes covering the Gökçekuyu neighbourhood in their programmes and include this destination in their visitor referrals.
