ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE HGS APPLICATION AT THE ISTANBUL AIRPORT TOURISM TRANSFER AREA

Dear Members,

Istanbul Airport has implemented a new regulation regarding the use of the tourism transfer area. As of April 9, 2026, entry and exit transactions in the aforementioned area will be charged via the Fast Pass System (HGS).

Under the new application:

• Charges will be processed via HGS upon the vehicle’s exit.
• The fee amount will be determined based on the vehicle class information registered to the HGS tag.
• Vehicles without an HGS account associated with their license plate will not be permitted to enter the area.
• Vehicles that fail to pay the fee via their HGS account within 24 hours will not be permitted to re-enter.
• Vehicles that violate speed limits or parking rules will be blocked by the system.
• Vehicles that make double passes or commit rule violations will not be permitted to enter the area.

Additionally, you can contact an operator via the live support button located at the barriers. Fee schedules are determined by the General Directorate of State Airports Authority under Public-Private Partnership projects.

The application is expected to contribute to more orderly and faster transfer processes.
